“My favorite part of WSA would be the people around me. From President West to the cabinet, senators, and representatives, each member of the WSA motivates me to live up to the examples that they set every single day. I feel incredibly proud to be able to serve my fellow students alongside the most talented, motivated, hard-working, and genuine folks on the planet.”

“Interests are politics, military history, cooking, training in the martial arts (boxing/wrestling/jiu-jitsu), and constantly improving my "dad craft" as a father of an energetic little 5-year-old.”

Senator Taylor is actively serving the community as a 3rd Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus. The KofC is a Catholic fraternal service order that focuses on Charity, Unity, Fraternity, and Patriotism.”

“My favorite part of WSA is when we deliberate on the subject at hand. It feels like I have a say in what actually goes down at WMU and allows me to represent my peers in a positive light. I’ve also never been part of a student government, so it’s super cool to see it in action.”

Interest, Hobbies, and other Organizational Involvement

“Whenever I have free time, I like to work on making music and furthering my music skills. Also, I enjoy woodworking and currently am working on building a dresser. Additionally, I’m very active in my RSO Ts’ai Lun by helping secure funding and coordinating events to bring a sense of community and fun to our student body especially during these trying times.”

“I’d like to just give a big shoutout to the Paper Engineering and MAT program for being the best programs at WMU! Also, I know many of us have seen all the movies and shows on all the streaming services these past few months, so here’s a great movie called “Good Time” starring Robert Pattinson that many haven’t seen and it’s honestly a great movie. You can find it on Netflix. Hope you all have a good time!”
