Expulsion

• An expulsion is when the General Assembly of the Western Student Association removes a member with cause for the remainder of the Academic Year, as defined by Western Michigan University.

• Should Articles of Expulsion be approved by the General Assembly through simple majority concurrence, an Expulsion Trial must be scheduled for the next Voting Meeting of the General Assembly

Impeachment

• An impeachment is the rescinding of the confirmation of a previously confirmed Member holding Office by the General Assembly.

• Should Articles of Impeachment be approved by the General Assembly through simple majority concurrence, an Impeachment Trial must be scheduled for the next Voting Meeting of the General Assembly.

RESOLUTIONS

• Legislation that serves to formalize the majority opinion of the Assembly

Memorandums of Agreement

• Legislation that serves as an agreement between WSA and any other individual or organization

• Must have TWO COMPONENTS:

  • Memorandum of Agreement Bill

  • Memorandum of Agreement Contract

CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS

• Legislation that serves to modify the Constitution of WSA
