A note from Allie to the Student Body

My name is Allie Rak and I am your Director of Marketing and Outreach for the 2023-2024 Academic Year. I joined WSA because I wanted to become more involved with the on-campus community in a way my voice could be heard. As the Assistant to the Director of Marketing and Outreach, I want to depict the community of the assembly and be able to have information readily available to those already a part of WSA or those who may even be hesitant; I want to show that WSA is a safe space for all. I bring to this position, the graphic design experience I built up over my academic career, the outgoing energy needed to branch out and to have a professional presence to those reaching out, as well as the knowledge brought to me by both majors I am studying currently.

To be a voice for the student body and to exhibit our principal focus for this year, I will be a voice to advocate, communicate effectively, and engage the student body in meaningful ways.

I will be doing this in ways such as:

• Conducting recaps in order to help all students know what happens in meetings

• Let motions and bills past be known to all

• Work to maintain the brand of the Western Student Association

• To effectively portray the needs of the students
