WMU Giving Day 2021  April 14, 2021

This Giving Day is Powered by You.

This year the Western Student Association is proud to announce that the organization will be participating in WMU Giving Day. We will be raising money for the Student-Led Social Justice Fund.

WMU Giving Day is a 24-hour fundraising opportunity for alumni, friends, and community members to collectively elevate WMU to become the school of choice in Michigan by supporting philanthropic goals that impact students. It is an opportunity for any area of campus to spotlight their special projects and causes.

The Student Social Justice Fund (SJF) is geared to help dissipate Black and Brown students' educational disparities at Western Michigan University (WMU). The fund will be used to motivate and synergize initiatives at WMU focused on increasing retention rates, graduation rates, and the overall institutional success of our marginalized Bronco's. Through four components: scholarships, creations of affinity spaces, expansion of undergraduate research opportunity, and revision of faculty recruitment & retention at WMU, will help our institution in becoming a champion to end systemic racism at predominately white institution.
